100 Tonne High Temperature Load Measuring Pins 📰
16th Oct 2020Recently despatched and on their way to Chile are these two 100 tonne rated load measuring pins. They have been designed to exactly replicate an existing load bearing pin in the intermediate pulley block of a crane, and so are dimensionally much larger than a standard sized 100 tonne load pin, having a diameter of 194mm and a length of 927mm. The crane is located in a copper smelting plant, and the installation of the load pins will allow the weight of the pots to be calculated when filled with the smelted material. Because of the high temperatures in the smelting plant, the load pins use special strain gauges that allow for operation in temperatures up to 150ºC, and unusually also have 7 internal greaseways.
